Glitter Text Fun
Here are some glitter text animations I whipped up on Picasion! My favorite stickers are the nonsensical sentences.
user-submitted picmix gifs i like
PicMix has a ton of user-submitted gifs made within the website that are available to scroll through by genre. I'm really inspired by the rogue users that share gifs with hyperspecific messages on top of (seemingly) unrelated images. There's a wide range of fandoms that use PicMix to produce and distribute gifs of celebrities or characters that haven't yet been collaged and animated.

Pexels Exploration
Pexels is a resource for gathering free stock photos uploaded by other users. The textures and scenes I saved seem fitting as individual elements in the sticker collages of Blingee gifs. They remind me of the posts I saw on early internet image sharing platforms like Tumblr, Pinterest, and WeHeartIt. They share a focus on a visual aesthetic that is fun, shiny, playful, and heavily saturated.
Glitterboo Experiments
Here are some test photo animations I made on Glitterboo using my own images! I like the starbust sparkles most. It's interesting to see film photos recontextualized in a hyper digital realm.
Databending
I started the databending process by copying large bodies of text from Wikipedia pages like the Arizona Tea company and pasting them repeatedly throughout the image code. This produced blocks of color on the image, mostly affecting the right side. I was spamming my keys in random areas of the code until it became too monotonous and unsustainable for the number of photos I was testing. The results were also not interesting. A lot of neon greens and grey blocks of color were the result of deleting chunks or rearranging the data too much. By repeating the same letter or symbol, I found that it created longer gradients of color glitching. It was most exciting to get a result of white, pink, and blue dithering that resembled TV static.
